Overview
Automotive Transmission Rebuilder
Responsibilities- Diagnose, rebuild and repair automotive transmission systems to specifications – knowledge of electrical and computer systems is a plus
- Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include other teammates and customers as required
- Remove and reinstall transmission systems
- Assist other technicians in performing technical activities
- Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in informal training sessions to stay abreast of rapidly changing automotive technology
- Keep store management aware of mechanical repair problems as they occur
- Maintain an organized service department
- Minimum of 5+ years’ experience working as an Automotive Transmission Rebuilder
- Hold a valid driver’s license
- Own professional grade tools
- Experience with mechanical diagnosis, problem-solving and repair experience specific to transmission rebuilding
- Ability to communicate solutions to others
- ASE certifications a plus
- Safe working knowledge of shop tools and equipment
- Mid-Senior level
- Full-time
