Overview

Position Overview: Recruits physicians as determined by community needs. Makes cold calls, manages database of physicians, sources leads locally and nationally. Maintains a relationship between physician office staff and the staff of the Health System. Initiates letters of intent and contracts that comply with legal and compliance parameters. Must be extremely organized and possess a strong work ethic. Required to have impeccable written and verbal communication skills.

Must be willing to work evenings and weekends.

Education

Associate’s degree required, Bachelor’s degree preferred or minimum of 10 years recruiting experience.

Experience
  • A minimum of one (1) year management experience in a health occupations or hospital environment.
  • Ten (10) years’ recruiting experience.

Physical Demands
  • Work is moderately active: involves sitting with frequent requirements to move about the office, move about the facility, and travel to another facility within the SRHS service area.
  • Exerting a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
  • Repetitive motions: substantial movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers while operating standard office equipment such as computer keyboard.
  • Perception and processing: ability to hear normal speech, close visual acuity, and ability to adjust focus between monitor and printed materials.
  • Must be able to be active for extended periods and work schedules that may change for hospital needs, including weekends.
Mental Demands
  • Keen mental faculties, assessment and decision-making abilities.
  • Superior communication skills (speaking, enunciation, written) and ability to receive and give information in person or by telephone.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain collaborative relationships.
  • Attention to detail and multi-tasking in complex situations.
Special Demands
  • Superior customer service and professional etiquette.
  • Proficient computer skills (keyboard, MS Outlook, Word) and other office technology (telephone, fax).
  • Travel throughout the SRHS service area; employee must provide own transportation.
  • Occasional weekend and evening work to accommodate physician candidates and meetings.
Other

Work requires the ability to function independently, adapt to workload demands, set priorities, and develop goals. Must possess highly developed organizational, planning and management writing skills. Must be able to quickly gain a detailed understanding of complex computerized and non-computerized information.
