Northrop Grumman is seeking Technical Editor Writers . This position will be located at our Mission Systems sector in Ocean Springs, MS. The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman's Maritime/Land Systems and Sensors division, Marine Systems business unit. Marine Systems is a leading provider of launcher systems, propulsion systems, and power generation systems for naval submarines and surface ships.

Roles and Responsibilities
* Write and/or edits technical documents such as technical procedure manuals, user manuals, programming manuals, service manuals, operational specifications, and related technical publications

* Communicate clearly and effectively technical specifications and instructions to a wide range of audiences.

* Develop subject knowledge by interviewing engineering/manufacturing teams, observing performance of production methods, referring to technical specifications, blueprints, engineering illustrations, and trade journals.

* Takes strong ownership to drive documentation through process from inputs to final distribution

* Prepare illustrations from, selecting drawings, sketches, diagrams and charts.

* Performs quality review of materials.

* Executes verification/validation of procedures through hardware design, testing, up to final document distribution.

* Develops new concepts, techniques, and standards, Able to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings. Support implementation to a team of technical writers and text processors.

* Works with management on major matters pertaining to its policies, plans, and objectives.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in presenting to internal and external stakeholders at reviews/documentation conferences.

* Develop agendas and captures minutes to assess documentation impacts.

Basic Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications for an Associate Technical Editor Writer:
* Be completing or has completed their Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution

* Be majoring in or having majored in Technical and Environmental Communication, Technical Writing, English, Communication, or other related field

* Be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)

* The ability to obtain Special Access Program within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs

* Microsoft Office Software experience

* Adobe Acrobat experience Basic Qualifications for a Technical Editor Writer:
