Position Summary
Under the direction of the Membership Director, the Member Services Representative will provide the highest quality service to members and the community in alignment with Christian values and Association policies.

Essential Functions- Provide excellent service to members, guests, and program participants by greeting, scanning cards, controlling access, processing membership sales, offering tours, and addressing member issues.
- Answer phones politely, route calls, and accurately deliver messages.
- Possess a strong understanding of all programs and services, providing members with detailed information on schedules, costs, wait‑lists, and facility info.
- Build relationships among members and help them connect with the YMCA.
- Handle membership concerns, report unusual situations, and resolve issues.
- Respond to emergencies and complete incident reports.
- Enter membership, program, and guest data into Daxko accurately.
- Assist in developing and improving Member Services procedures and policies.
- Maintain the Welcome Center, front lobby, and coffee station; perform clerical tasks such as copying, filing, and mailing.
- Open and close the YMCA building, balance and cash out the cash drawer at shift end.
- Ensure desk coverage by maintaining availability and effective scheduling.
- Communicate scheduling adjustments with the Member Services Coordinator.
- Work nights and weekends as required.
- Wear name tag and adhere to dress standards.
- Apply all YMCA policies related to member services.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- CPR/AED and First Aid certification within 60 days of hire.
- Complete Leader Certification on LINK within the first 6 months.
- Excellent interpersonal and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to relate to diverse groups from all social and economic segments.
- Previous customer service, sales, or related experience.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Regular use of a computer for extended periods, communication via phone and smart device.
- Ability to sit, reach, and move around the work environment.
- Occasional lifting or moving up to 10 pounds.
- Close and distance vision with ability to adjust, moderate noise level.
- Reasonable accommodations available for individuals with disabilities.
