The Account Executive is a field-based sales role responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and building long-term customer relationships within the Scranton, PA market. This role reports directly to the District Sales Manager and plays a key role in achieving company sales and profitability goals.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities with independent and chain accounts within the assigned territory
- Achieve or exceed sales targets and performance metrics
- Develop and execute sales strategies based on market trends and customer needs
- Analyze customer accounts to identify growth opportunities and optimize product offerings
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships while delivering high-quality service
- Communicate market insights, customer feedback, and opportunities to internal teams
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and contracts
- Participate in industry events, trade shows, and local marketing initiatives
- Support company marketing plans and sales promotions
- Assist with training or mentoring new sales team members as needed
- Proven sales experience with a track record of meeting or exceeding goals
- Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and closing skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; CRM experience preferred
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory (up to 100%)
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Experience in B2B, food service, wholesale, or distribution sales
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Frequent walking, standing, and bending
- Valid driver’s license and auto insurance required
