Body Shop Technician III – Penske Truck Leasing
Position Summary: As a Body Shop Technician with Penske, you’ll perform minor truck and trailer collision repairs, and with supervision some major repairs too. You’ll use industry‑leading technology and repair techniques – plus cutting‑edge diagnostic equipment – to get our customers’ state‑of‑the‑art vehicles back up and running in high‑quality condition.
Work Location: 5337 SW 1st Ln, Ocala, FL 34474
Work Hours: Candidate must be able to work 2nd shift, Monday to Friday from 2 pm to 10:30 pm after completion of the first two weeks of training on first shift.

Major Responsibilities:
- Perform minor electrical system repairs, surface preparation for refinishes, minor cab accessory repair/replacement, minor cargo box repairs, and under supervision repair or replacement of major truck and trailer components.
- Assist Technician I and II in removal, replacement, and repair of major components.
- Maintain work area appearance and safety.
- Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Preferred: 2 years of related experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Vocational/technical school preferred.
- Certification of completion of technical school specializing in repair/refinish of all series of truck and trailer preferred.
- Working knowledge of tools of trade (welding equipment, paint equipment, shop machines, power tools) preferred.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Ability to comply with specific instructions, guidelines, rules, regulations or other information established by Penske management.
- Adherence to DOT, OSHA and Penske safety and maintenance policies.
- Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function.
- Driving experience required: current driver qualification file, DOT physical, safety performance history, CDL holders subject to FMCSA clearinghouse review.
- Willingness to travel as necessary, work required schedule, complete application, background investigation, drug screening.
Physical Requirements:
- Move frequently, stand, walk, climb, bend, and sit for extended periods.
- Use hands repeatedly to grasp, reach, and operate required tools and controls.
- Work safely at heights using ladders and elevated platforms.
- Work safely in all weather conditions.
- See and hear to safely navigate the work environment.
- Regularly lift and move up to 50 lbs/23 kg, occasionally up to 100 lbs/45 kg; push/pull truck tires that exceed 100 lbs.
