Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an EVT Technician located in San Diego, CA. The EVT Technician will perform maintenance, inspections, and necessary repairs on emergency vehicles and equipment. Responsibilities include diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, conducting routine preventative maintenance, and utilizing diagnostic tools or equipment to troubleshoot problems. The role requires maintaining accurate service records and ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.
Qualifications- Strong mechanical, diagnostic, and repair skills, specifically with emergency vehicles and equipment
- Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools effectively
- Experience in electrical and hydraulic system diagnostics
- Knowledge of industry-specific safety standards and regulations
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to high-quality work
- Valid EVT certification(s) and a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Previous experience in emergency vehicle repair or related mechanical fields is highly desirable
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; vocational/technical training is a plus
