Overview

The Sports Sales Representative is responsible for achieving predetermined sales goals and quotas withintheirteam’s assigned territory. Sales Representativesmustestablish,buildandmaintaincustomer relations through constant communications and in-person appointments. This position is specifically responsible formaintainingexpert knowledge of ourmarket-leading product portfolio. You will be consulting surgeons in the operating roomregardingthe use of Arthrex products and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Primarily responsible for meeting and exceeding sales objectives for the territory. Represent Arthrex Tallahassee
    ,an independent agency authorized to sell Arthrex products by working with surgeons and healthcare professionals. Arthrex isa global medical device company and leader in new product development and medical education in orthopedics.

  • Increase territory results by building andmaintainingstrong business relationships and by developing and implementing sales strategies.

  • Communicate with current and new customer accountsregardinga variety of topics, including product updates, changes to productportfolioand educational programs.

  • Implement new sales plans and effective marketing strategies to position the organization competitively and to meet/exceed territory objectives.

  • Cross-selladditionalproducts or manage new product introductions as they become available.

  • Address any problems that ariseatthe account.

  • Support compliance and the principles of responsibility bymaintainingthe privacy and confidentiality of information; protecting the assets of the organization; acting with ethics and integrity; reporting noncompliance; and adhering to applicable federal,stateandlocal laws and regulations, accreditationandlicenser requirements andcompany policiesandprocedures.

  • Receive coaching,trainingor mentoring from sales manager; transfer knowledge topeers asneeded.

  • Maintain training in sales skills, product features/benefit sand other critical business applications.

  • Collect competitive data and remain current on industry,customer and competitive trends.

  • Participate in and attend sales meetings and professional association meetings outside of regular business hours, as required.

  • Ability tolift upto 35 pounds on a regular basis.

Requirements

Education and Experience:
  • Minimum of 3+ years of orthopedic experience;sports experience preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Demonstrated ability to relate to customers and constituents within the orthopedic/sports medicine market

  • Must be comfortable in open operating room environments

  • Knowledge of orthopedic procedures and terminology as it specifically relates to Arthrex

  • Knowledge ofoperatingroom protocols and procedures

  • Ability to learna a high levelof technical information,anatomy and indications as it relates to surgery and procedures

  • Prior sales experience is a plus

Knowledge and Skill Requirements /Specialized Courses and/or Training:
  • MS Office

  • Ability to create an effective business plan (30/60/90)

  • Commission-driven individual

  • Strong public speaking and communication skills

  • Strongsenseof urgency

  • Ability to work well under pressure

  • Self-assurance and competitive drive

  • Ability to work independently, make decisions and take responsibility forthem

  • Abide by all Compliance and Code of Conduct policies
