Key Responsibilities- Drive new business development by leveraging industry connections, prospecting, and various outreach strategies to uncover and seize opportunities in untapped areas.
- Gain an in-depth understanding of the decision-making processes of prospects to enhance early involvement in project planning and material specification phases.
- Manage the complete sales cycle, from lead identification and qualification to negotiation, closing, and the delivery of orders, including post-sale follow-up.
- Craft tailored sales strategies for customer accounts based on individual needs and requirements.
- Ensure effective communication and collaboration with the company leadership to maintain an accurate and current understanding of the market landscape.
- Work closely with Billing & Credit departments to guarantee smooth and accurate billing processes, enhancing overall customer satisfaction.
- Support Operations, Dispatch, and Quality Control teams by providing assistance with customer service, monitoring project progress, and addressing any concerns.
- Actively participate in networking events to raise awareness and promote the company's products and services.
- Exceptional organizational and time management capabilities, with a proactive and self-directed approach to work.
- Strong communication skills, including listening, negotiating, presenting ideas, and asking insightful questions to uncover customer needs and pain points.
- Proficiency in cold calling, lead qualification, and initiating interactions with potential customers.
- Deep understanding of the local market and its customer base, capable of offering impactful solutions.
- Professionalism and expertise, especially in high-pressure situations with customers.
- Proactive daily schedule management to optimize productivity and focus.
- Ability to build and nurture customer relationships, establishing oneself as a trusted advisor.
- Commitment to becoming knowledgeable in the concrete industry as a trusted consultant for both customers and internal teams.
- A Bachelor's degree is preferred, though significant relevant experience can substitute for formal education.
- Between 5 to 10 years of experience in the construction industry or a related field is preferred.
- Competency in using basic computer programs and digital tools for everyday tasks.
- Prior experience in contractor estimating or project management is an asset.
- A valid driver's license and the ability to drive safely are mandatory.
- The role requires a hands-on approach at the job sites.
- Frequent local travel to job sites is required, with occasional travel outside the area as needed.
- Exposure to varying weather conditions, dust, noise, and operational machinery, with periodic standing and walking on different surfaces.
- Regular use of standard office equipment is part of the job.
