Overview
Ever stepped into a retail store and had a phenomenal customer service experience? Cox Communications is looking for a Retail Sales Associate who creates those experiences and can drive sales while making customers feel special. The estimated total annual compensation can be up to $48,628, with opportunities for higher earnings. This role involves working some evenings, weekends, and holidays and reporting to the Store Manager with guidance from the Assistant Store Manager and other team specialists.
WhatYou'll Do
- Explain and demonstrate product capabilities and offer suggestions based on customer wants and needs
- Meet or exceed targets regarding customer experience, sales, and retention
- Assist with the opening/closing of the store
- Properly handle cash
- Engage in workshops, special events, and product demos
- Support fellow sales agents when needed
- Continuously expand knowledge of current Cox products and competitor offerings by participating in regular training
- May be required to work in other locations in the same geographical area
As part of a customer loyalty-driven team, there is a variable targeted total compensation of $48,628 ($23.38/hr.) while top earners may reach an average annual compensation of just over $63,655 ($30.60/hr.). Compensation includes a full-time hourly base rate of $16.38/hr. plus monthly targeted commissions of $1,279. A ramp period of up to 2 months to adjust to commission earnings is included.

Who You AreQualifications:
Minimum:
- HS diploma/GED or up to 2 years of relevant work experience
- Ability to meet established sales, retention, and customer experience targets
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to sell products using a consultative, solutions-based approach
- Ability to build relationships and adapt to a diverse customer base
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a service-oriented, fast-paced team environment
- Ability to be mobile within the store for long periods to greet customers and demonstrate products and services
- Computer literacy with an aptitude for learning communication products, services, and accessories
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays
- Ability to lift 25-50 pounds to manage stock room inventory
Preferred:
- Some college experience with a focus in sales, business and/or management
- One year of experience in related fields (Sales, Retail, Service)
- Experience selling Wireless/Mobile products
- Fluency in Spanish, both written and spoken

Compensation details:
Hourly pay rate is $15.29 - $22.88/hour, variability based on location and experience. The role is also eligible for an annual incentive/commission target of $15,348.00.
Benefits include a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off per month and seven paid holidays per year, with additional paid time off for bereavement, voting, jury duty, volunteering, military leave, and parental leave.
