Job Overview

As a Field Merchandiser, you'll work independently while showcasing your organization and time‑management skills, your ability to establish retailer relationships, and serve as the face of Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement and maintain inventory levels, and support fellow team members with seasonal resets and installations as needed.

Salary and Schedule Details
  • Your starting pay will be $14.00 to $16.00 depending on your skills and experience.
  • Eligible employees receive annual pay increases.
  • This is a Part‑Time position with a variable schedule during the work week.
  • Average weekly hours for this position are between 5 – 20 hours per week.
  • Availability the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends, is required.
Your Role and Responsibilities
  • Day‑to‑day engagement:
    Utilize your mobile device to restock, organize, and monitor inventory of Hallmark products within and outside the Hallmark department. Communicate with your supervisor, report time, provide feedback, and complete required surveys. Maintain professional and courteous interaction with store employees, management, and customers.
  • Holiday support:
    During peak seasonal demand (e.g., Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas) you may work additional days, extended hours, and on some holidays, including weekends.
  • Department resets:
    Assist with installations, relocating card departments, and resetting card sections, often with two weeks’ advance notice. These tasks may include evening or weekend work.
  • Team collaboration:
    Support fellow merchandisers as needed in their territories.
Physical Requirements

This job requires a high level of energy and urgency. You will work on the sales floor and in back stockrooms, consistently pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds and up to 50 pounds on occasion. You will also kneel, squat, walk, and stand throughout the workday, and may need to climb stairs and step ladders.

Basic

Qualifications
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English.
  • Physical ability to grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Proficiency with a digital hand‑held device to open and read documents and interpret information.
  • A Wi‑Fi network and Internet access.
  • Consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
