Responsibilities
The Vines Hospital is currently recruiting for a PRN Admissions RN.
- Perform all aspects of the intake and admission process, including efficient handling of inquiry calls, knowledge of and communication with referral sources, and providing hospital and program information to individuals, agencies, facilities, and professionals.
- Make outside referrals when appropriate; assess and triage an individual's mental health status; make patient safety and level of care recommendations to The Vines Hospital's physician.
- Identify insurance benefits and pre-certification of patient care; complete all admission requirements; communicate patient safety concerns and pertinent patient information to unit nursing staff; document all necessary information in Med Series 4.
- Review packets and admit patients; work with minimal supervision and collaborate with all facility units: business office, medical staff, medical records, utilization review, marketing, and nursing.
The Vines' Admissions department is an exciting atmosphere where we help patients make decisions to seek help. In the Admissions department, we work together as a team. With 1 in 5 adults suffering from a mental illness, the Admissions RN must be able to adapt and flow to the ever changing needs of our patients. The Admissions RN will triage and assess people in crisis.

Our Location:
We are located in Marion County, FL. The county is known as the Horse Capital of the World. Enjoy the outdoors at one of the county's serene parks, which include hiking trails, river rafting, and tubing. The area is central to many activities and within a few hours of larger metropolitan areas, amusement parks, and Florida beaches.
Qualifications- Education: Associate degree in Nursing required. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of two (2) years experience in the mental health field preferred. Previous assessment experience required.
- License: Licensed in the State of Florida as a Registered Nurse required.
- Skills: Excellent communication skills. Ability to relate to those emotionally disturbed and in crisis.
