As an ER RN, you will serve as a first responder within the hospital setting, providing immediate, life-saving care to individuals facing a wide range of medical emergencies, including minor injuries and acute illnesses, traumatic injuries, strokes, cardiac arrests, respiratory crises, and other life-threatening conditions. You will be tasked with conducting rapid patient assessments, initiating critical interventions, prioritizing care needs, and ensuring the timely stabilization of patients who arrive under often unpredictable and urgent circumstances.

Your role is vital to maintaining the efficiency and effectiveness of the emergency department. You will collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team of physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, technicians, and support staff to deliver coordinated, evidence-based, and compassionate care. The ability to manage multiple competing demands, think critically, respond swiftly, and communicate clearly with both colleagues and distressed patients or family members is essential.

  • Triage, assess, and treat patients across all age groups.
  • Identify and implement individualized patient care plans to achieve optimal health outcomes.
  • Develop care strategies and adjust treatments as needed.
  • Manage multiple cases simultaneously, ensuring efficient patient prioritization.
  • Provide clear follow-up care instructions and coordinate referrals as necessary.
  • Work closely with physicians and hospital departments to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Maintain patient safety and adhere to best practices in emergency nursing.
Candidate requirements

Required:
  • Florida RN license or approved multistate RN license (Compact license holders must obtain a Florida RN license within 60 days of relocation).
  • 1+ years of recent acute care RN experience (ER, ICU, PCU preferred; paramedic background is a plus).
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS/BLS) - Required within 30 days of hire.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - Required within 90 days of hire.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - Required within 90 days of hire.
  • Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) - Required within 6 months of hire.
  • Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NCI) - Required within 6 months of hire.
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) or TNCC Instructor - Required within 6 months of hire.
