SCOPE

Perform duties to set up, change over and operate the complete range of equipment and machine tools in an assigned area to process materials into parts for the assembly of custom vehicles, working within the limits of standard or accepted practice.

Essential Functions
  • Work from shop orders, specifications, prints and instructions.
  • Receive and process raw materials or in‑process parts through any range of operations to suit product specifications.
  • Set up, change over and operate the complete range of equipment and machine tools.
  • Position processed material on a designated cart system and move to succeeding operations as required to facilitate production flow.
  • Perform visual and dimensional checks of work to verify parts meet specification.
  • Blueprint reading, understand basic math including decimal, fraction and angle dimensions.

Position Expectations
  • SAFETY: Follow E-ONE General Health & Safety Rules, ensure safe operating conditions within area of responsibility, and notify coworkers and supervisors of hazardous acts and conditions. Use proper PPE, defect‑free equipment, proper lifting techniques and overhead hoist when needed. Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with the 5‑S philosophy. Participate in hazardous communication training and safety meetings.
  • QUALITY: Responsible for defect‑free work and understanding the company’s quality system. Check work for conformance to process control instructions, specifications, and quality standards. Identify and segregate non‑conforming product, and assist in initiating corrective and preventive actions. Follow the 3 Don’ts:
    1) Don’t accept poor quality;
    2) Don’t make poor quality;
    3) Don’t pass poor quality.
  • FLEXIBILITY: Able and willing to work in other areas as needed. Be flexible with lunch and breaks as workflow requires, and willing to work additional hours when necessary.
  • INITIATIVE: Actively participate in continuous improvement of products and processes to better serve customers and improve overall profitability. Seek out additional work when current assignments are complete. Suggest improvements for product quality, processes, safety and profitability. Utilize the Minor Kaizen process for implementing improvements.
  • TEAMWORK: Positive working attitude toward other employees; be a team player. Work constructively with others and abide by company policies and procedures. Teamwork is essential for daily production assignments and special improvement projects.
  • LEAN: Daily utilize skills to eliminate waste and continually improve processes. Develop Lean knowledge by supporting 5‑S maintenance, visual management tools, root‑cause analysis, kaizen events, and Lean Certification programs.
