Flux Core Welder (6G) – 2nd Shift
Location: Ocala, FL
Pay: $21–$24 per hour base pay + 10% shift differential
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 1:30 PM – ~12:30 AM (4×10s)
Job SummaryWe are hiring an experienced Flux Core Welder with strong 6G capability to support the manufacturing of large steel tanks. This role requires proficiency in open-root welding, full-penetration welds, and the ability to work with both short-circuit MIG for root passes and spray-transfer FCAW for fill and cap passes.
What You’ll Do- Perform flux core welding on carbon steel components used in tank fabrication
- Weld and attach tank tops, brackets, legs, and structural components
- Execute high-quality open-root welds with full penetration
- Use both short-circuit MIG and flux core spray transfer as part of the welding process
- Read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols
- Inspect work to ensure alignment, fit-up, and weld quality
- Follow safety procedures and production standards
- Solid experience with flux core welding, including 6G position
- Ability to produce sound root, fill, and cap welds on carbon steel
- Experience welding pipe or heavy-wall steel materials is a plus
- Ability to pass a weld test
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work 2nd shift (Monday–Thursday)

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ocala, FL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $24.00/hr.
