As the
Trim Manager
a key responsibility of this position is ensuring the implementation of best practices, policies, and strategies are being followed while also maintaining a fun and results‑driven culture.
- In conjunction with the Trim Assistant Manager:
- Supports the daily operations of the trimming department.
- Supports trim training programs and identifies training needs, as required.
- Supports hiring trim team members and providing direction to develop new and experienced team members.
- Collaboration with the Director of Production and Ops, Assistant Trim Manager and facility leadership team to develop, document, and implement practices, policies, and strategies that support a performance and results‑driven culture.
- Responsible for supporting the daily operations of the trim department.
- Daily operations include, but are not limited to:
- Set‑up and break down of the trim room for daily tasks; while following all cleaning and cross‑contamination protocols.
- Verify trimmer attendance, proper personal practices and hygiene policies are adhered to.
- Conduct quality checks on trim intermediate and finish work, room climate settings, visual inspections of the product, and storage of finished trim product.
- Accurately weigh and record product weight throughout all stages of the trim process.
- Daily input and update of the weight‑out spreadsheet; either manually or digitally.
- Knowledge and ability to properly operate machinery, as required.
- Ensure the trimming room and weigh area are always clean.
- Other duties as assigned.
- In conjunction with the Assistant Trim Manager, this role is responsible for hiring and developing a team of highly motivated individuals who are passionate about cannabis.
- Manage and supervise the activities of the Trim staff and make recommendations regarding hiring, corrective action, or advancement of employees.
- Train trim team members to ensure consistent performance and knowledge base of company standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure Key Performance Indicators are captured, including target and actual pounds per day.
- Partner with the Packaging Manager and Cultivation/Post‑Harvest Specialist for upcoming work schedules and product tasks.
- Communicate and participate in resolution of department challenges and opportunities; attend all department and facility meetings, as required.
- Assist in ensuring the department’s compliance with all state regulations, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).

Required Skills/Abilities- Excellent management and supervisory skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Computer experience in Microsoft Suite, data management software, time keeping systems, and inventory platforms.
- Attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and multi‑tasking abilities.
- High School Diploma or GED Required.
- 1-3 years of management experience required, including in a management decision making role
- Cannabis industry experience preferred but not required.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to remain in a stationary position, move and position oneself, communicate, operate and prepare, and place, and position objects, tools, or controls.
