Starting Pay: $20/hr

The technician performs mechanical maintenance and repairs on a wide range of equipment, including wood pellet mills, hammer mills, drum dryers, dust collectors, hydraulics, augers, conveyor belts, drag chains, and air compressors. Additional duties involve maintaining overhead doors, dock plates, lighting, electrical systems, and completing light concrete, plumbing, drywall, painting, and metal siding work. The technician monitors daily plant operations to ensure all equipment operates at peak performance, troubleshoots and identifies root causes of downtime, and performs necessary machinery repairs.

This role also includes developing and implementing preventative maintenance procedures, maintaining detailed records of maintenance activities and inspections, identifying opportunities for equipment improvements, designing and fabricating parts for repairs or new installations, and adhering to all safety protocols.

• 3-5 years of confirmed Industrial Maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Knowledge of augers, conveyor belts, drag chain conveyors, gear reducers, chain/direct drive systems, automated/mechanical lubrication systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, air compressors.
• Welding and fabrication skills.
• Understanding of blueprints (Electrical, Hydraulic, Pneumatic, etc.).
• Computer experience.
• Knowledge of industrial three-phase electricity, robotics, automated equipment (a plus).
• Industrial machine operating experience (a plus).
• Previous forklift experience.
• Ability to communicate with equipment manufacturers.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, stand on concrete for extended periods, and maintain flexibility (bend, lift, stoop) without difficulty.
• Strong attention to detail, proactive, self-motivated, multitasking well‑organized, problem‑solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
