Ocala FL Behavioral Medicine Faculty Job with Advent Health Family Medicine Residency

Advent Health is hiring a Behavioral Scientist to join our Family Medicine Residency faculty in Ocala, Florida. Qualified applicants will include PhD-level psychologists, Licensed Clinical Social Workers, or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists.

The behavioral scientist will be a key member of the core faculty team. The role involves 40% clinical psychotherapy and 60% supervision/teaching of residents, curriculum development, and administrative duties. The ideal candidate has both clinical and educational experience, including teaching and supervising learners.

• PhD-level psychologist, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.

• Clinical experience in behavioral medicine.

• Educational experience teaching or supervising residents/learners.

• Full time; split schedule of resident supervision, personal clinical work, and administrative duties.
• Work with Program Director on accreditation, recruitment, rotation scheduling, curriculum development, and resident coaching.
• Serve on residency committees such as program evaluation and clinical competency committees.
• Perform additional academic and clinical duties as assigned.
• Demonstrate excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Model professionalism for residents, medical students, and clinical staff.
• Maintain proficiency with Microsoft Office and EPIC EMR.
