Manufacturing Systems Engineer

Chipton-Ross is seeking a Manufacturing Systems Engineer for a contract opportunity in Ocala, FL.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
o 5+ years experience in manufacturing, automation, or industrial systems
o 2+ years supporting SQL databases in a production environment.
o 1+ years Windows Server or Linux administration experience.
o 3+ years Industrial networking fundamentals (Ethernet/IP, OPC-UA, or similar).
o 3+ years troubleshooting live production outages.
o Ignition certification or SCADA platform experience.
o Experience in electronics manufacturing environment.
o SQL Server DBA experience.
o VMware or virtualization experience.
o Scripting experience (Power Shell or Python).
o

Experience with historian or MES systems.
o Industrial cybersecurity familiarity.
o Cisco CCNA or equivalent networking knowledge.
o CompTIA Server+ or Linux+ certification.
o Experience deploying repeatable automation architectures.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

o Maintain and troubleshoot manufacturing databases used by production equipment.
o Ability to troubleshoot server infrastructure supporting automation systems (Windows/Linux).
o Support and administer SCADA/historian platforms (Ignition or equivalent).
o Diagnose and resolve production outages related to data systems.
o Monitor system performance, memory, storage, and service health.
o Manage backups, redundancy, and disaster recovery.
o Support industrial Ethernet communications between machines.
o Standardize and replicate automation infrastructure across production lines.
o Document architecture and recovery procedures.
o Collaborate with controls engineers and IT/network teams.
o Identify systemic risks and design improvements to prevent repeat failures.
o Participate in on-call support for critical production systems.

REQUIRED

EDUCATION:

oAccredited Bachelor's Degree.

WORK HOURS:

oFull-Time-4/10-1st Shift.

ADDITIONAL:
oAbility to Obtain Secret Clearance. Not required to start.
