Traffic Engineer – North Central FloridaInfrastructure Consulting & Engineering, LLC (ICE) is a full-service transportation design and consulting firm specializing in civil and transportation engineering services. Responsibilities- Traffic Modeling and Capacity Analysis using one or more of HCS, SYNCHRO, VISSIM, SIDRA, TRANSCAD and TRANSMODELER software for corridor analysis, interchange, and intersection level of service and operational delays.
- Assist in conducting Traffic Impact Analysis, Traffic Signal Warrant Analysis and similar traffic studies and prepare reports.
- Assist in preparing designs and development of traffic control plans, signing/pavement markings, and traffic signal plans.
- Prepare/Review traffic engineering studies and designs efficiently and cost-effectively to obtain client acceptance.
- Assist in preparations of final design documents (Plans, Specifications, and Estimates) associated with traffic signal installations, signing and striping layout, and temporary traffic control/detour/staging plans.
- Coordinate work with engineers, technicians, and administrative staff.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Experience with design software such as AutoCAD, AutoTURN, Micro Station, and/or Guide
SIGN is desired. - Knowledgeable in job cost, scheduling, safety, and construction concepts.
- Must possess excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and organizational skills.
- Must be able to collaborate with other employees, interact with clients and contractors.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must complete a pre-employment screening; ICE is a drug-free workplace.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, ABET accredited program (technical experience may be substituted for the degree).
- 5-9 years of thorough knowledge of current principles and practices of engineering as related to traffic engineering, ITS, and transportation planning for federal, state, and municipal levels. Experience in FL, LA, SC, NC, & GA is desirable.
- Professional Engineer (PE), Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) and/or Road Safety Professional (RSP) certification is preferred.
