Job Description

Lockheed Martin’s Ocala Operations facility, spanning over 340,000 square feet, is responsible for manufacturing circuit cards, wiring harnesses, and electronic assemblies for missiles and fire control systems. They are seeking talented Manufacturing or Industrial engineers to join their Missiles & Fire Control team in Ocala, FL.

Job Duties:

Develop and implement Manufacturing Process Plans (MPPs) for a variety of electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies.

Utilize basic drafting and software programs to develop MPPs, design tooling, support equipment, and process flows.

Provide technical guidance and support to manufacturing operators to facilitate assembly performance.

Apply lean manufacturing techniques to reduce cost and increase yields.

Investigate the root cause of failures/defects and implement corrective action to support continuous improvement.

Must have good communication skills and be able to work effectively in a team environment.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related discipline from an accredited college.
This position requires special access and the selected candidate must be a US Citizen.

Desired

Skills:

Knowledge in Lean manufacturing concepts and techniques.
Basic skills in 3D modeling software such as Solidworks and 3D Printing prototyping.
Understanding the concept of Root Cause/Corrective Action.
Data analytics.
Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma.

Work Schedule:

• 4×10 hour day, 3 days off per week

Location:

• Onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility in Ocala, FL.
