Tax Manager

Jones Networking is recruiting for a Tax Manager to join a growing and inspiring Accounting Firm in Ocala, FL. The ideal candidate will be an experienced tax professional with strong leadership abilities, excellent client communication skills, and a desire to mentor others while contributing to the firm’s continued success.

• Lead and oversee the Tax Department’s daily operations, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all tax engagements.
• Manage and review complex individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns.
• Conduct tax research, planning, and projections for high-value clients and complex entities.
• Supervise, train, and mentor team members, fostering professional development and continuous learning.
• Maintain and enhance client relationships by providing exceptional service, proactive communication, and strategic tax guidance.
• Identify and present opportunities to expand services with existing clients and attract new business.
• Oversee billing and client invoicing, ensuring accuracy and transparency.
• Stay current with federal and state tax regulations and communicate updates to the team and clients.
• Participate in community and networking events to represent and promote the firm.
• Provide input on process improvements and contribute to firm-wide initiatives to enhance efficiency and service quality.

• 5+ years of progressive tax accounting experience, including supervisory or management responsibilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; CPA license strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong technical expertise in tax compliance, planning, and research.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and client service skills.
• Proficiency in tax preparation and accounting software (experience with multiple platforms is a plus).
• High level of initiative, professionalism, and adaptability.
