Overview

General Manager in Training at McDonald’s. Candidates should have previous General Manager experience or experience in hospitality or retail. Must be 18 years or older. Flexible scheduling with a positive, value‑focused work environment.

• Run a profitable restaurant and ensure adherence to McDonald’s Quality, Service, and Cleanliness standards.
• Set restaurant goals with the restaurant leader and develop plans to achieve them.
• Lead Department Managers, setting their own goals, monitoring progress, and coaching to improve performance.
• Manage all people processes: recruiting, hiring, onboarding, performance management, training, coaching, and motivation.
• Make critical business decisions around inventory, budgets, food ordering, and cost control.
• Maintain high food safety and guest and employee safety standards.
• Oversee operational needs, including maintenance plans, to meet and exceed standards of excellence.

• Commitment to excellence and safety in the workplace.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to anticipate customer needs.
• Decision‑making ability in a fast‑paced environment.
• Previous General Manager experience preferred; otherwise consider other positions such as Department Manager or Shift Leader.
