Student Honor Committee - Hearing Coordinator

Job Summary

This position actively works with the Student Honor Committee (academic integrity board) and the Faculty Honor Committee to organize informal resolutions and formal hearings of the Honor Code. They also serve as an active member of the Student Honor Committee Executive Committee and track educational outcome completion.

Responsibilities

* Manage correspondence from the Student Honor Committee's official email address (ohonor).

* Evaluate reports of possible honor code violations, assign case managers, and track case resolution progress.

* Oversee the Student Honor Committee voting process for informal resolution requests.

* Produce statistics regarding the honor code adjudication process each semester.

* Attend weekly meetings with the other Student Honor Committee coordinators (membership and education) and the Honor System Liaison.

* Communicate with the Faculty Honor Committee about case and hearing statuses.

* Assist Student Honor Committee members with questions about the hearing and informal resolution process.

Qualifications

* Active member of the Student Honor Committee.

* Actively enrolled student at Oberlin College.

* Preferred previous experience on the Student Honor Committee Executive Committee.
