The Great Western Hotel in Oban is recruiting a Maintenance Assistant to support the day to day upkeep of the hotel and help ensure a safe, comfortable environment for guests and staff.

This role suits someone practical, dependable, and hands on, who takes pride in keeping things running properly behind the scenes in a busy hospitality setting.

You will carry out planned and reactive maintenance across the hotel.

Duties include basic repairs, preventative maintenance, and supporting larger worksissimos as required.

You will work closely with housekeeping and management to respond quickly to maintenance issues.

You will help ensure health, safety, fire, and hygiene standards are consistently met.

This is a practical role that plays a key part in the overall guest experience.

This is a full time, permanent position.

Working hours will be arranged on a rota basis and may include weekends.

Flexibility is required to meet the needs of the hotel.

• Previous experience in a maintenance or facilities role is preferred.
