Associate Software Developer; Ruby on Rails

Position: Associate Software Developer (Ruby on Rails)
The Opportunity
As a Software Developer on the Market Place team at Euna Solutions, you’ll be a key part of implementing and maintaining new and existing features in a suite of applications. In this role, you will design and develop solutions for our customers, leverage AI, build and enhance our software platform, and collaborate with your team, the engineering organization, and the product team to continuously enhance our delivery processes.

Software Developers in Euna Procurement deliver effective and robust solutions to new and existing technical challenges in a timely manner. Software developers also contribute to their team’s success through the effective execution of engineering processes and best practices and continuously improving their own skillset.

Responsibilities

Implement features and fix defects in the Euna Marketplace platform

Work in an agile environment where quick iterations and good feedback are a way of life

Continually look for opportunities to improve our platform, process and business

Find creative and elegant solutions to complex problems

Requirements

1+ years experience with Ruby on Rails

1+ years experience with SQL databases

Full stack web development experience (JavaScript, CSS, HTML)

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or other equivalent degree

Experience with Ruby testing frameworks (Minitest, RSpec, etc)

Experience with AI assisted development (Github Copilot, Claude Code, etc)

Very comfortable navigating Unix/Linux systems via terminal

Understand the HTTP request/response cycle

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Nice to Haves

Experience with Sphinx, Elastic Search, Lucene

Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)

Experience with Vue.js

An active Git Hub account

Familiarity with microservices architecture

Familiarity with building an MCP server

Location
This position will be hybrid with 3 days/week in our Oakville, ON office. (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday)

Compensation Range
$81,000 - $100,000. We believe in openness, so we publish our range from the start. Where an offer lands depends on your background, strengths, and how you’ll contribute to the work ahead.
