Wine Sales Associate
The Wine Sales Associate is a highly motivated, personable individual who thrives in a customer-focused environment and is passionate about sharing wine experiences. This role is ideal for an extroverted professional with a gregarious personality and a strong interest in wine sales and hospitality. The associate will drive day-to-day sales performance, deliver memorable guest experiences, and support company revenue and wine club growth.
Previous experience in wine retail, tasting rooms, or multi-brand sales is preferred. The ideal candidate has solid wine knowledge, understands how to work a sales floor, and takes initiative in achieving sales and customer engagement goals.
Essential FunctionsDeliver a consistently high-end yet approachable hospitality experience for all guests
Drive wine sales and wine club memberships through personalized guest interactions
Conduct engaging wine tastings, sharing wine knowledge, passion, and education
Serve as the primary source of wine-related customer service
Support daily operations including wine-by-the-glass service and tastings
Stock shelves, open bottles, pour wines, and maintain the sales floor
Build rapport with customers and follow up via email and phone to drive repeat sales
Assist with fulfillment management, systems updates, and event planning/execution
Support revenue goals and take a leadership role in wine sales throughout the location
Additional ResponsibilitiesComply with all company safety policies, procedures, and training requirements
Participate in team efforts and perform additional duties as needed
Maintain accurate and timely recordkeeping in Workforce Now (ADP)
Schedule & AvailabilityExpected availability: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
Shifts range from 5–8 hours per day

Ability to speak, read, and understand basic English

Computer Skills
Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including email, internet, word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and internal systems
Education & ExperienceBachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) or
12–24 months of related experience or training or
Equivalent combination of education and experience
Valid driver’s license, insurable driving record, and proof of auto insurance required
Physical RequirementsAbility to perform heavy physical activity including standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and reaching
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs independently and 100 lbs with assistance
Manual dexterity and visual acuity sufficient for wine service and retail operations
