District Sales Manager
Hayward Pool Products Canada Inc. is a leading manufacturer of swimming pool equipment. For over 90 years, we have helped pool owners enjoy the pleasures of pool ownership by manufacturing cutting‑edge, technologically advanced pool equipment worldwide. As part of our growth strategy, we are looking for a dynamic individual to join our team as a District Technical Sales Manager in Eastern Ontario and Atlantic Canada.
Responsibilities- Travels throughout assigned territory to call on distributors, dealers, builders, OEMs and prospective customers to obtain new business and expand existing business.
- Serves as a real‑time escalation point for situations involving technical questions for customers.
- Creates and performs in‑class and on‑site training seminars for customers.
- Provides technical assistance on all product lines to support customers.
- Advises dealers and distributors about sales and advertising techniques.
- Analyzes market trends and sales data to assist dealers in sales promotions for present and future business.
- Displays or demonstrates product, using samples or catalog, and explains features, attributes, and advantages over competition.
- Reviews market analyses to determine customer requirements, volume potential, competitive pricing.
- Develops sales campaigns to achieve company goals.
- Represents the company at trade shows and association meetings to promote product.
- Occasionally operates and staffs a large mobile training vehicle to support product training and sales events.
- Controls expenditures of personal geographic district to conform to budgetary requirements.
- Provides input and implements annual sales plan for the territory, including sales strategy, to maximize return from the territory’s assigned accounts and to meet the territory’s sales quotas established by the Regional Sales Manager.
- Develops and maintains a comprehensive list and profile of key accounts and market contacts and tracks field activities in a Salesforce database.
- Prepares monthly progress reports, monthly itinerary, weekly call reports and weekly expense reports in a timely manner and submits to the Regional Sales Manager.
- A sustained level of sales achievement selling a range of products of a technical nature.
- Mechanical aptitude is essential.
- Experience using a computer and Microsoft programs.
- Familiarity with automated control systems, basic electricity, plumbing hydraulics and/or water chemistry is a plus.
- Must also possess a valid driver’s license and be able to drive long distances and travel by plane.
