The Career.  As Culinary Services Manager for a V!

VA Community, you will be empowered to manage all aspects of the food service department including the main dining room, the pub, Perks! and the Assisted Living dining room. You will mentor a team of approximately 20 culinary service Team Members. You will work along side the Executive Chef to deliver a consistently superior culinary program throughout the Community.

They are responsible for recruitment, training, performance management and overseeing the daily activities of their teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the management of the food services department

Work closely with the Executive Chef to deliver superior service to the Community Members

Ensure quality food delivery, dining and catering service, set up and clean up of dining rooms and presentation of all areas including the Pub

Role model and drive excellence in customer service throughout the Community

Assure the implementation and efficient delivery of our V!

VAlicious/Dining Services program.

Establish and assure the timely, open, and effective communication of all food service Team Members with Community Members, family members and guests, assuring excellent customer satisfaction

Assist the Executive Chef in the development of and adheres to the food services budget, ensuring the delivery of excellent services and products while achieving the financial goals set for the Community

Responsibility of managing a licensed pub and associated activities

Plans, organizes, and supervises the activities of the food service department to provide high quality food service along with the Executive Chef.

Build, develop, and effectively manage all food service Team Members, optimizing individual and team performance through effective leadership, mentoring, and training.

Establish and monitor workflow, job routines, evaluate performance and production, and make changes as necessary to improve quality of service.

Coordinates and participates fully in food service activities and special events as required.
