Summer Students Plant

CGC Inc. is currently hiring summer students for our ceilings plant, based in Oakville, Ontario, for our Roll Form and Specialty departments.

Maintain/contribute to production levels, participate in a team environment and work in the safest, most efficient and profitable manner as possible.

• Roll Form: Under the guidance of the Roll Form Foreman, the Summer Student conducts the daily operations of the Roll Form line. This includes packaging product on production lines, operating manual operations presses, performing visual quality control inspections, and performing any other miscellaneous function required by their supervisor.
• Specialty: Under the guidance of the Specialty Foreman, the Summer Student conducts the daily operations of the Specialty line. This includes: packaging product on production lines, operating manual operations presses, performing visual quality control inspections, and performing any other miscellaneous function required by their supervisor.

• Candidates who are graduating from high school and going to college or university in September will have to provide proof of their enrollment to the program of study from the college or university.
• Candidates returning to college or university in the fall will be required to show proof of enrollment.
• Ability to work days and afternoon shifts on a rotating basis and to work in other departments.
• Demonstrates problem-solving skills and the ability to work as a team.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Must be a people and results-oriented individual who incorporates and emphasizes safety and quality in all aspects of the daily work.
• Rate of pay may be adjusted based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
