Summary:

The Hoskin Service Team supports a wide range of equipment covering the environmental, geotechnical and instrumentation markets. Based in our Oakville office, your main duties will include working on a variety of equipment, effectively troubleshooting equipment independently, quoting/following up with customers and being a good representative of the company’s service efforts.

• Work safely and in alignment with all health & safety regulations.
• Be knowledgeable on multiple Hoskin products. (Internal and factory training will be provided.)
• Manage and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Perform calibrations and repairs correctly, on budget, and in a timely fashion.
• Quote repairs, lead times, and terms to all customers and schedule timely follow-up.
• Communicate electronically and/or via phone with Hoskin’s customers and manufacturers to help troubleshoot customer’s devices.
• It is considered an asset if you have past experience producing repair estimates
• Support all product Electrical Inspections
• Be a reliable service resource for external and internal customers
• Support to the Rental department as directed by management
• Work with our CRM program and related systems to capture customer information and service activity.
• Seek new service opportunities and develop leads from our website, customer emails & phone inquiries.
• Efforts are required to maintain existing business and seek new business
• Work is generally based in our Oakville location. Some travel to customers and training will be required.
• Support other offices in peak periods and for vacation and sick coverage
• Full participation in annual warehouse inventory and unit fleet counts
• Other duties as required by Hoskin management.

• Must possess a post-secondary education in electrical or electronics technician/technologist
• A post-secondary education in electro-mechanical field is considered an asset
• Must have strong troubleshooting skills with an ability to work through service manuals and schematics
• Possess knowledge of using power and hand tools and exhibit advanced disassembly/assembly and soldering skills
• Three to four years of industry-related disciplines
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Proven analytical/problem-solving solutions for the customer and the company
• Must be organized and detail oriented
• Must be self-motivated and able to work independently and in a team environment to meet or exceed goals.
• A positive attitude is essential.

• Office/lab environment
• Travel up to 50% of the time will be required
