WHY WE NEED YOU? GLAD YOU ASKED...

We are at a pivotal moment in our digital evolution. We need a designer who thrives on understanding both the goals of the business and the needs of the user to execute a cohesive product strategy. You will be responsible for supporting the user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design from inception through launch and beyond.

In this role, you aren’t just "making screens"—you will support the complete life-cycle of our products from inception to launch, working closely with experienced designers, product managers and cross functional team members.

We need someone who can work with stakeholders to gather input, collaborate with engineers to understand technical complexity, and ensure our UI builds are executed to the highest standard.

Beyond the core product, we need a designer who understands that our brand lives everywhere. You will provide critical creative support for our marketing and sales teams, translating product excellence into high-impact seasonal forecasts and bespoke client sponsor ships. Whether it’s a wireframe, a user testing session, or a high-fidelity mock for a strategic partner, you are the common thread that ensures our digital experiences deliver value to the business and delight to our users.

The Role:

We are looking for a versatile Product Designer to join our award-winning team during a pivotal phase of platform evolution. In this role, you will help refine our core user experience while playing a key part in how our brand comes to life through strategic partnerships and marketing initiatives.

You will work directly with the Creative Director and alongside senior design staff, providing a unique opportunity to contribute to high-level platform work while owning the execution of creative assets that drive our business forward.

Work with an experienced team in a mentorship-driven environment, where you’ll help evolve our platform while learning the nuances of serving millions of users on Canada’s most-trusted weather brand and news source.

Please note we are only considering candidates who are eligible to work in Canada and are currently located in the Greater Toronto Area.

WHAT IS THE DAY TO DAY LOOK LIKE
  • Platform Evolution: Support the design and iteration of core product features, ensuring a seamless and accessible user experience across mobile and web as we modernize our digital ecosystem.
  • Systems Thinking: Contribute to the application and maintenance of our design system, ensuring visual consistency and UI excellence across all touchpoints.
  • Integrated Marketing & Sales Support: Support marketing and sales initiatives across our B2C and B2B products. You will create high-fidelity mocks for our brands, client sponsor ships, brand partnerships, seasonal forecasts and more.
  • Rapid Prototyping: Build interactive prototypes to communicate design intent to engineering and to test concepts with real users.
  • Collaborative Execution: Work within an Agile environment, collaborating closely with Product and Engineering to ensure design integrity from concept to launch.
WE ARE HOPING YOU HAVE
  • Experience: 1–3 years of professional design experience (iOS, Android, or Web).
  • Portfolio: A digital portfolio showcasing published contemporary web and mobile projects, with a clear eye for typography, layout, and "marketing-adjacent" creative.
  • Contemporary Tooling:Strong knowledge of Figma (Auto-layout, Variables, and Component architecture) and Adobe…
