The impact you will have:
The Solution Development Architect is a technical leader entrusted with the strategic planning, architectural design, and overall technical leadership of service development and delivery within Managed Services in our organization. This pivotal role requires in-depth expertise in cloud technologies (Azure and AWS), and infrastructure design, with an ability to steer the organization's strategic vision for service development and architecture.
As a Solution Development Architect, you will be responsible for designing and delivering innovative cloud solutions that meet the needs of our customers and align with our strategic vision. You will work closely with other teams across the organization, including GTM, to develop and launch new managed service offerings. You will also provide expert consulting and architecture guidance to our external and internal customers to better understand their needs when developing and enhancing our Managed Service capabilities.
What you will do:
Define the architecture and design principles for Managed Cloud Services.Lead the design and development of complex, high-impact cloud solutions.Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable, secure, and efficient cloud solutions.Collaborate with external customers and partners to discover opportunities for improvements to our Managed Service offerings and capabilities.Provide leadership and coaching to the Solutions Development team, empowering them to embrace architectural best practices while enhancing their soft and technical skills.Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to keep the organization at the forefront of cloud service innovation.Ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards in all architectural decisions.Participate in technical reviews, training and architecture assessments as required.What you bring to the table:
10+ years of combined IT Infrastructure, Azure, or AWS experience (extra points for both), working with enterprise-level clients either in solution architecture, or delivery lead roles.5+ years of experience successfully delivering complex projects, including project architecture, design, implementation, and support for highly distributed applications.Great communication skills. (Yes, everyone writes that - but we really mean it.)Experience with many aspects of cloud computing (e.g., infrastructure, storage, platforms, data, etc.), as well as with the cloud market and competitive landscape.Experience facilitating discussions with senior/C-level leadership regarding technical and architectural trade-offs, best practices, and risk mitigation.Ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges.Experience in developing production-level systems using Python.Infrastructure automation experience (Terraform, Power Shell, Ansible, Git Hub).Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect).Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to understand and address customer needs.Strong organization skills and attention to detail.Self-interest in maintaining updated knowledge with technology (industry) best practices.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Positive attitude with creative thinking.Nice to have - Managed Service operations/ITIL experience.Pay Range:
