The Junior Analyst, Information Security supports the daily execution of vulnerability remediation and threat intelligence activities to reduce organizational risk. The role exists to assist analysts by validating vulnerabilities, tracking remediation, monitoring threat intelligence, and ensuring operational processes are followed consistently to reduce attack surface and improve security posture.
** HERE’S HOW YOU’LL CONTRIBUTE:
*** Review daily vulnerability scan results and assist with validation of findings.
* Triage vulnerabilities based on severity, exploitability, asset criticality, and threat intelligence context.
* Track remediation progress and perform verification scans to confirm closure.
* Monitor internal and external threat intelligence feeds for emerging threats.
* Assist with ingestion, enrichment, and basic analysis of threat indicators.
* Coordinate with infrastructure, application, and cloud teams to support remediation efforts.
* Escalate risks or blockers when required.
* Assist with preparation of vulnerability and threat metrics.
* Support audits and assessments by providing vulnerability evidence.
* Stay current on common vulnerabilities, threats, and remediation techniques.
** HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
*** 0–3 years of experience in cybersecurity, information technology, or a related technical role.
* Hands-on exposure to vulnerability scanning, remediation tracking, or security monitoring is preferred.
* Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred.
* Cybersecurity Certifications (e.g. CompTIA Security+, CompTIA CySA+, ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity, CISSP, CISM) are preferred.
* Vendor fundamentals (e.g., Qualys, Tenable, Microsoft, AWS, Azure) are an asset.
* Introductory knowledge of threat intelligence concepts, indicators of compromise (IOCs), and attacker tactics.
* Previous experience with Service Now Vulnerability Management, Qualys Vulnerability Scanning are beneficial.

Total Direct Compensation:73,900 - 90,400

Any pay range is in $CAD. The stated pay range reflects the total expected compensation for this role (e.g., base pay plus any expected incentives or allowances, where applicable)
