Job Description Performs high quality adult and paediatric echocardiograms. Participates in reporting session with Cardiologists. Communicates verbal and written preliminary reports to staff physicians.

Graduate of an accredited program in EchocardiographyCurrent registration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) and/or CSDMS/CARDUP or eligible for registration within one year of hire dateCurrent registration with the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario requiredCurrent BCLS certification required at time of hireA minimum of 2 years recent related working experienceExperience in paediatricsExperience in performing stress echo, contrast and transesophageal echoAbility to work effectively as a collaborative member of the critical care teamDemonstrates ability to work effectively in a busy clinical environmentSelf-directed and able to work effectively with minimal supervisionMust be able to meet the physical demands of the positionSatisfactory employment and attendance record requiredDemonstrates tact, diplomacy and confidentialityThe ideal candidate is strong in patient centered care in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment and should be ready to drive change and innovation. We require a person with good communication skills with a clear patient focus with the ability to manage execution and to foster teamwork and cooperation.
