The Management of Change (MOC) Coordinator supports the structured identification, evaluation, approval, and implementation of changes on an active EPC project in a field-based environment. This role plays a critical function at the intersection of change management, claims mitigation, and project controls by ensuring that scope, cost, schedule, risk, and contractual impacts of proposed changes are formally assessed, documented, and controlled.

The MOC Coordinator works closely with project controls, commercial, engineering, and construction teams to maintain alignment between approved changes, baseline controls, and downstream claims or recovery strategies.

While this role is tied administratively to our Oakville, ON office, the position itself will be based on-site at the project location in the southwestern area of the Athabasca Basin, in Northern Saskatchewan on a rotating basis.

How you will contribute
  • Coordinate and administer the project Management of Change (MOC) process for field- and engineering-driven changes.
  • Serve as the primary focal point for initiating, logging, tracking, and closing MOC requests across all disciplines.
  • Facilitate multidisciplinary reviews to evaluate technical, safety, environmental, schedule, cost, risk, and contractual impacts of proposed changes.
  • Interface closely with project controls to support cost estimates, schedule impacts, contingency usage, and baseline adjustments associated with approved changes.
  • Coordinate with commercial and contracts teams to ensure potential claims, variations, and contractual entitlements are identified, documented, and preserved.
  • Ensure MOC documentation supports downstream change orders, claims substantiation, and audit requirements.
  • Track MOC status, approvals, conditions, and implementation actions through to closeout, ensuring alignment with cost and schedule control systems.
  • Coordinate with engineering and construction teams to ensure approved changes are incorporated into drawings, specifications, schedules, procedures, and work plans.
  • Support field implementation of approved changes, including communication to affected work groups, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Maintain MOC registers, logs, and reporting dashboards highlighting trends, aging changes, risk exposure, and potential claims.
  • Support internal and client audits, readiness reviews, and compliance checks related to change management and project controls.
  • Promote disciplined change management practices to minimize scope creep, cost overruns, schedule impacts, and claims exposure.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience supporting Management of Change, change management, project controls, or claims coordination on large-scale EPC projects.
