Reporting to the Senior Project Advisor, Project Manager II will have the opportunity to manage water and wastewater (linear and/or facility), transportation and waste management infrastructure capital projects from inception to commissioning and close out. The Project Manager II, with minimal supervision, is responsible as a project lead for controlling project scope, schedule, budget and quality, and managing all internal/external stakeholders for their assigned capital portfolio.
Projects assigned to PMII’s are typically medium in size and complexity. Project values typically exceed $15 million in value and/or are considered medium risk. The Project Manager II will assist and/or support the Engineering, Construction and Transportation Management Division in business improvement initiatives.
- Leads and delivers capital projects from inception to commissioning while controlling scope, schedule, budget, risk and quality.
- Project budgets typically exceed $15M and typical projects include: arterial road improvements, linear water/wastewater infrastructure, and water/wastewater facility upgrades.
- Represents Halton Region at public consultations, presentations, open houses, and face‑to‑face interactions with the public, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
- Follows Regional Procurement processes to retain vendors, such as Consultants and Contractors, for the delivery of the Capital projects.
- Manages consulting engineers during the design and construction phases of Regional capital works.
