The Team

Our Infrastructure and Capital Projects practice is comprised of over 600 sector experts and specialized consultants across the globe. We combine strategic and operational expertise with a deep technical knowledge to support developers, sponsors, lenders, and projects leaders to select, structure, improve and execute Capital Projects in a more efficient and sustainable way.

Role

The Electrical Engineer is responsible for ensuring all technical documentation and engineering activities are executed in alignment with project quality, budget, and schedule requirements. The incumbent will collaborate with area managers, procurement, and construction teams to provide technical expertise and maintain engineering integrity.

• Assist in the development and maintenance of engineering deliverables, including design criteria, flow sheets, and drawings.
• Plan and advise on discipline-specific personnel requirements and resource allocation.
• Conduct design reviews, value engineering studies, and process optimizations.
• Ensure technical documentation aligns with project execution plans and quality standards.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary activities to ensure project scope and schedule adherence.
• Review shop drawings and oversee fabrication and construction for compliance.
• Conduct quality audits and recommend corrective actions where necessary.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Professional engineering designation in the relevant jurisdiction.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering roles within major capital projects, with increasing levels of responsibility.
• Strong understanding of engineering documentation, quality assurance, and relevant industry standards.
• Proficiency in engineering software tools such as AutoCAD, Solid Works, or similar.
• Strong analytical, negotiation and communication skills.
• Knowledge and experience using SAP would be an asset.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and business acumen.
• Ability to manage tight deadlines and competing priorities.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a team environment.
• Efficient and effective chairing of meetings and recording minutes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products including Word, Excel, Outlook required.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint and Teams considered an asset.
