Akkodis is seeking an Embedded Dev Ops Consultant for a Contract position with a client located in Oakville, Ontario, Canada. Ideally, the successful candidate will have strong experience with embedded systems build and development process as a Dev Ops engineer or a similar software engineering role. Hands-on experience in implementing and maintaining new Continuous Integration tools and infrastructure is preferred, especially in large Automobile/Motor Vehicle companies.

Position: Embedded Dev Ops Consultant

Contract

Experience Required:

  • 7+ years of experience as a Dev Ops engineer or a similar software engineering role.
  • Experience with embedded systems build and development process preferred.
  • Team leadership experience highly preferred.

    • Objectives of this role:

  • Implementing and maintaining new Continuous Integration tools and infrastructure.
  • Understanding the changing needs of developers and translating them into action items.
  • Creating new ways to automate and improve the Continuous Integration process.
  • Testing and examining code written by others.
  • Identifying technical problems and developing updates and fixes.
  • Working with other teams in the organization to ensure adherence to our best practices.

    • Responsibilities:

  • Setting up, maintaining, and optimizing pipelines (Jenkins/Git Hub Actions).
  • Deploy updates and fixes as required to ensure Continuous Integration.
  • Develop solutions to integrate with internal back-end systems as needed.
  • Perform root cause analysis of development and production build and pipeline issues.
  • Develop automation to enhance current processes.
  • Develop new procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance.
