Project Engineer Generator Services
A Snapshot of Your Day:
Your daily activities involve interfacing with project stakeholders for planning and execution. This includes attending project planning meetings, supporting Generator Service field engineers, developing work packages, performing technical reviews, creating schedules, and ordering tools. There are opportunities to work on development projects and procedure improvements.
- Provide project engineering for generator service projects and manage maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with Product Line Managers, Marketing, and Technical Services to identify and develop projects.
- Develop detailed work instructions for contract work scopes and perform project risk assessments.
- Create and manage schedules that clarify objectives to customers and Siemens, allowing adjustments to meet commitments.
- Direct involvement in tooling ordering, tooling improvements, and development projects to meet product line needs.
- Utilize Siemens Energy information systems necessary to be effective.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field from a recognized university is required.
- 5+ years of industry experience.
- Working knowledge of large electrical apparatus, including generator inspection, testing, rewinds, and repairs.
- Strong organizational, planning, attention to detail, and safety culture.
- Travel required:
approximately 10% domestically.
This position reports to the Generator Services organization based at the Pittsburgh Service Centre, with the physical employment location in Oakville, ON.

Pay Transparency and LocationThis role is based in Oakville, Ontario. The base salary range is $93,000 – $110,000. Offers are determined by experience, skills, certifications, and business needs. Immediate vacancy; hiring timelines may vary.
