The Siemens Energy Grid Solutions Engineering department comprises of professionals with experience in Primary, Secondary and Civil Engineering for detailed Engineering, Procurement and Construction Projects for FACTS (SVC, FSC, HVDC), Substations (Air Insulated Substations and Gas Insulated Switchgear substations), Grid Access and electrification projects. As part of the engineering team, you will work collaboratively throughout the life-cycle of a project to prepare and review detailed engineering documentation for bidding, procurement, design, construction and commissioning.
Responsibilities- Preparing, reviewing, and modifying engineering documentation and drawings, including wiring diagrams, bill of materials and cable lists for Substation and FACTS projects.
- Preparing preliminary power single line diagrams, auxiliary power single line diagrams and protection one-line diagrams.
- Preparing, reviewing and modifying schematic diagrams, wiring diagrams and interconnection diagrams for control & protection panels, devices and FACTS projects.
- Perform cable ampacity and station auxiliary load calculations.
- Create equipment specifications and detailed bill of materials.
- Manage interfaces with multiple internal and external stakeholders, such as customers, Siemens Energy engineering, engineering contractors, suppliers, and site contractors. Monitor/report project engineering progress and implement mitigation and corrective actions in coordination with project management; help identify and analyze project risks and help propose remedial actions.
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years’ experience working on substation projects. Experience with FACTS/SVC technology through formal education and/or project work is desirable.
- Licensed Professional Engineer is preferred.
- Prior experience in engineering design for utility power projects is desirable.
- Knowledge of ANSI standards and IEC Standards, and AutoCAD.
- Experience with various vendor protective relay equipment typically used in substation protection, including SEL, Siemens, GE.

Le service d’ingénierie en solutions de réseau de Siemens Énergie est composé de professionnels ayant de l’expérience en ingénierie primaire, secondaire et civile relativement à des projets détaillés d’ingénierie, d’approvisionnement et de construction pour les systèmes FACTS (CLC, CSF, CCHT), à des sous‑stations (sous‑stations à isolation par air et sous‑stations à appareillages de connexion à isolation gazeuse), à l’accès au réseau et à des projets d’électrification.
Au sein de l’équipe d’ingénierie, vous travaillerez en collaboration tout au long du cycle de vie d’un projet afin de préparer et d’examiner la documentation technique détaillée pour l’appel d’offres, l’approvisionnement, la conception, la construction et la mise en service.
- Préparer, réviser et modifier de la documentation et des dessins techniques, y compris les schémas de câblage, les nomenclatures et les listes de câbles pour les projets de sous‑stations et de système FACTS.
- Préparer les schémas unifilaires d’alimentation, les schémas unifilaires d’alimentation auxiliaire et les schémas unifilaires de protection préliminaires.
- Préparer, examiner et modifier les schémas de câblage électrique, les schémas de câblage et les schémas d’interconnexion pour les panneaux de commande et de protection, les appareils et les projets de système FACTS.
