Overview
As a Senior Project Manager, you will be required to spearhead complex projects from initiation to finish, ensuring timely delivery within budget. Responsibilities encompass project planning, team coordination, risk management, and stakeholder communication. Expertise in technical leadership and strategic decision-making are essential.
The ideal candidate may have had experience in a technical role before moving into project management. A strong technical background in manufacturing, installation, fabrication and field services are all preferred assets for this role.
To excel in your role as a Senior Project Manager, you will have to develop a thorough understanding of the detailed project requirements and specifications including potential technical issues and develop an understanding of the fabrication process.
Responsibilities- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of technical projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope and budget.
- Convene, lead, or participate in project meetings that involve client representatives, internal staff and third parties, to discuss project schedule, documentation, and all other technical matters.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project objectives, requirements, and deliverables.
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
- Lead order confirmation calls with clients to clearly define project expectations, deliverables and timelines.
- Manage project scope, scope creep timeline, budget, track expenses, and ensure financial accountability.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks and implement mitigation strategies, and communicate action plans to all relevant stakeholders.
- Effectively communicate project expectations to team members in a timely and clear fashion.

- Maintain composure and adjust quickly in response to changing customer needs
- Respond calmly and constructively to unexpected issues or setbacks
- Demonstrate resilience while keeping customer satisfaction a priority
- Track and manage the resolution of outstanding project issues or requirements, escalate them to right stakeholder(s) when needed.
- Perform technical evaluation of options most suited to every individual project.
- Coordinate and communicate with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Sales, and Production Teams.
- Negotiate the technical aspects of the project and ensure clients’ needs are met as projects evolve.
- Ensures compliance with government, organization and customer engineering standards.
- Participate in and coordinate equipment and fabrication inspections.
- Ensure adherence to project management best practices and methodologies, and recommend process improvements accordingly.
- Create accurate Bill of Materials used for project management and procurement.
- Maintain all key technical project documents.
- Ensure all required project artifacts are developed, updated, and delivered to all relevant stakeholders.
- Review engineering/contractor deliverables for technical compliance, scope alignment, and quality.
- Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises and devise contingency plans.
- Provide regular project updates to stakeholders and senior management.
- Draft and submit project change orders and recommend subsequent budget changes, where applicable.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the project team.
- Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and subcontractors; influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
- Execute project closure by conducting billing, project postmortems and/or debriefings.
- Conduct project close-out meeting with team members to review the success and failures of the project as a mean of continuous improvement for future projects.
- Ability and willingness to travel to job sites.

Academic Training:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline.
- Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), or other relevant project management certifications.
