Job Description

Intermediate Road Design Engineer

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Development of engineering products that meet customer quality requirements, including defining the problem, establishing the work scope, preparing the budget and schedule, planning the work, providing technical direction, and reporting the work status.
  • Perform detailed calculations, 3D models, drawings, procurement documents, design and installation packages, proposal evaluations, technical reports, and detailed analyses.
  • Provide support for other engineering activities as required.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines (i.e., drainage, linear infrastructure, structural) to produce deliverables.
  • Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
Required Skills
  • Proficiency with Microstation, InRoads, Open Roads or with AutoCAD, Civil 3D.
  • Municipal or MTO experience.
  • Registered P. Eng. preferred with 5+ years of experience in road & highway design.
  • Roadway geometric design background.
  • Experience with policies and procedures preferred.
  • Experience on design‑build projects desirable.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills (written and verbal).
