The Opportunity
Dillon’s Transportation and Facilities technical group is looking for a Senior Transportation Facilities Project Manager to join a multidisciplinary team on our Transportation Engineering – Ontario team. You will work on provincial transportation facilities projects including environmental assessments, design of maintenance patrol yards, inspection facilities, and rest areas. You will play a key role on our Ministry of Transportation, Ontario (MTO) projects.
This position is available at one of our Ontario offices (Toronto, Guelph, Kitchener, Oakville, Windsor, Chatham, Hamilton, London, Kingston & Ottawa) with flexible work arrangements.
Responsibilities What your day will look like Project Management & Design- Manage transportation engineering projects and multidisciplinary teams
- Develop technical expertise on various transportation projects
- Lead technical report and study preparations, including EA documentation
- Prepare contract documents, drawings, specifications, and estimates
- Manage stakeholder consultations and presentations
- Communicate regularly with clients and oversee project budgets
- Prepare estimates and proposals
- Maintain and develop MTO client relationships
- Identify new business opportunities
- Contribute to the leadership of the Transportation Facilities Group
- Travel for meetings and to other Dillon offices
- Engage in ongoing professional development
- Mentor and support junior staff
- Participate in professional associations
- Degree in civil engineering
- Licensed Professional Engineer in Ontario
- At least 15 years of related experience
- Leadership and business development skills
- Experience with MTO environmental assessments and design of provincial infrastructure
- Experience with alternative project delivery models
- Leadership of multidisciplinary teams
- Project management proficiency
- Experience with public and agency consultations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
- Strong communication skills
