Camps at Appleby College provide opportunities to develop and advance skills, and to promote interactive skills among participants. Appleby provides excellence within each camp using superb facilities and instruction. In all our programs, we emphasize individual development, participation, co-operation, and fun! Appleby’s scenic 60-acre campus offers outstanding academic, art and athletics for all its camps.
As an Instructor, you will support activity planning and delivery within your program area—Discovery, Arts & Media, Science & Success, or Sports & Adventure. You will contribute to a safe, inclusive, and engaging camp experience. Campers at Appleby experience an exciting week of discovery, friendship, sports, and fun!

Position SummaryAs an Instructor, you will support activity planning and delivery within your program area—Discovery, Arts & Media, Science & Success, or Sports & Adventure. You will contribute to a safe, inclusive, and engaging camp experience.
What Is Amazing About This Job- Support the development and delivery of camp activities
- Participate in all aspects of the campers’ day including activities, mealtimes, transitions, and games
- Ensure the supervision and safety of campers at all times
- Maintain positive relationships with campers, parents, and staff
- Follow all Appleby policies, including the Mutual Respect Policy
- Participate in required Health & Safety training
- Support inclusive programming and ensure activities meet the needs of all campers
- Are currently enrolled in, or have completed, secondary school
- Have experience working or volunteering with children
- Possess strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
- Are energetic, enthusiastic, and creative
- Have coaching experience or specialized skills in Sports, Arts, Science, or Discovery (an asset)
- Have valid Standard First Aid and CPR – C
- Possession of a Bronze Cross and/or NLS certification in lifeguarding would be considered an asset

- Saturday May 30 & Sunday May 31, 2026 (Full Days)
- Saturday June 13, 2026 (Full Day) - As Assigned
- Setup and Orientation
- Sunday June 14, 2026 (Full Day)
- Camp Session Dates:
June 22 – August 28, 2026 - As Assigned- Monday to Friday 8:15am–4:15pm
- Mandatory Orientation:
First day of each week, 7:30am–4:30pm
