Appleby College is offering an Enrichment Teacher position for its Summer Programs 2026. The role involves teaching a one‑week enrichment course, engaging students in a lively summer learning environment while delivering Appleby College curriculum. Candidates are expected to have a high level of expertise in their discipline and be effective, stimulating facilitators of the educational process.
Compensation: Starts at $1250 per week.

- Support the mission, vision and curriculum of Appleby College’s Summer Enrichment Programs.
- Be a supportive, positive, and contributing member of the Appleby College community, sharing and accepting constructive feedback.
- Establish a positive rapport and understand each student’s needs, engaging them as active learners.
- Ensure appropriate planning and preparation for each class.
- Maintain an appropriate level of classroom discipline.
- Maintain an attendance roster for each course.
- Implement Appleby College Summer Enrichment Programs expectations and develop course‑specific curriculum.
- Support and encourage appropriate student behaviour and conduct on and around campus.
- Teachers of Career Compass:
Taking the Next Step Sr. and Biomedical Science Sr. will lead weekly off‑campus excursions and receive additional compensation.
- Post‑secondary education at the university level in progress or complete.
- Teacher education training (B.Ed., M.Ed.) an asset.
- Previous teaching experience in the subject area is considered an asset.
- Credentials illustrating a high level of knowledge and expertise in the teaching discipline.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent time‑management and organisational skills.
- Effective problem‑solving skills.
- Adaptability to changing needs and circumstances.
- Technical aptitude.
- Criminal record check with a vulnerable‑sector screening required for candidates over 18.
- Valid Standard First Aid and CPR certifications required.
- All selected candidates must attend a training session on Saturday, May 31, 2025.
- Location:
Appleby College, 540 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville, Ontario. - Contract length and workday vary depending on the course.
- Training & Orientation – Saturday, May 30, 2026.
- Program Session Dates & Hours – As assigned, excluding holidays.
- Monday to Friday: 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
