Teacher‑tutors at Oxford Learning do not have to lesson plan before class, as all lessons are pre‑planned. Applicants will receive full training in our proprietary philosophy and methods.

All Teacher‑tutors work during after‑school and evening hours (3 pm–8 pm) and some Saturdays (9 am–1 pm). Commitment until the end of the school year is preferred; continuing through the summer is even better. This role is in‑person; relocation packages are not available. Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory.

• Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field
• Fourth‑year university students with extensive tutoring experience will be considered
• Teaching certification an asset
• Good knowledge of the current Grades 9‑12 physics curriculum, particularly senior physics, and confidence in teaching advanced functions, algebra, trigonometry, calculus and vectors

• Experience teaching/tutoring physics at a Grade 9‑12 (or equivalent) level
• Strong English written and oral communication skills
• Strong math skills and ability to guide students’ understanding Responsibilities
  • Teach up to three students at a time at different levels
  • Teach in‑person (online option not applicable for this role)
  • Follow Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies
  • Fill in post‑lesson notes
  • Complete daily student communication updates
  • Maintain a friendly and professional manner at all times
