Administrative Assistant, Summer Programs 2026
Contract Dates:
Mid June to August 2026 (Exact dates to be confirmed based on program scheduling).
Compensation: $21.33 per hour.
About The ProgramAppleby Summer Academy offers a range of high‑quality academic day programs designed to support student learning, enrichment, and advancement during the summer months. Rooted in Appleby College’s academic philosophy, the Academy includes Summer Enrichment, ESL, and credit‑bearing Summer Academy courses, all delivered in small classes with expert instruction and a strong emphasis on student engagement.
The RoleThe Summer Programs Admin supports administrative, operational, and customer‑service functions for Appleby’s Summer Academy, Enrichment, ESL Day programs, and CEC day components. This role ensures accurate enrolment management, daily program support, classroom logistics, and timely communication with families and staff, upholding Appleby’s standards of safety, organization, and program excellence.
- Manage daily attendance and administrative operations for Academy and Enrichment programs
- Prepare and maintain program materials, binders, student lists, and reports
- Support instructors with classroom setup, supplies, and instructional materials
- Act as a front‑facing contact for families and program participants
- Support daily student check‑in/check‑out and onboarding processes
- Coordinate logistics with Facilities, IT, and Food Services
- Maintain and update Camp Brain and other program records
- Assist with scheduling, special program days, and events
- Track, organize, and maintain program equipment and materials
- Manage and distribute dietary and medical information as required
- Maintain operational logs and elevate incidents or concerns as needed
- Collaborate closely with the Assistant Director and instructional staff
- Support safety procedures and emergency response protocols
• Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening required.
• Valid Standard First Aid & CPR‑C certification required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office;
Camp Brain experience is an asset.
