Relationship Banker Position – Full Time, Fairfax, VA
Responsibilities- Serve as the primary relationship manager for a portfolio of mass‑affluent clients.
- Sell, deliver, and support a broad range of fee income and retail banking products, including banking, mortgage, planning, investments, and insurance services.
- Establish and update client financial needs and conditions through sound profiling and personal financial planning analysis.
- Maintain current knowledge of economic, legal, and investment trends that impact mass‑affluent clients.
- Meet revenue growth, profitability, and retention goals through new client acquisition and expansion of existing services.
- Collaborate with Integrated Relationship Management (IRM) partners to deliver a seamless, integrated client service model.
- Build mutually beneficial relationships with external centers of influence to enhance business development.
- Operate within the audit, compliance, and regulatory framework to ensure a high quality, compliant client portfolio.
- Participate in the ongoing implementation of the Premier Banking program, including process, product, and policy development.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, banking, or related field.
- Minimum five years’ financial services experience with banking, investments, and/or retail lending (Retail, Wealth, Advisory) or minimum one year in a financial client‑relationship manager role.
- Advanced knowledge of personal financial planning, advisory, insurance, and investment management concepts for the mass‑affluent market.
- Active FINRA Series 7, Series 66 (or 63 and 65), and applicable insurance licenses (Life, Health, Variable) or must obtain within 100‑150 days of job entry; SAFE Mortgage Licensing Act compliance within 30 days.
- Strong interpersonal, sales, and relationship management skills.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Master’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or banking.
- Mass‑affluent banking experience.
- Completion or enrollment in professional certification programs (CFP, CFA, AAMS, CTFA, CLU, CHFC, etc.).
- Completion of a leadership development program or banking school (e.g., Truist Leadership Development Program, Banking School).
