Job Title: Network Engineer (Government Client) TS/SCI
Overview:
The Network Engineer (with TS/SCI) will support a government client by monitoring, analyzing, and optimizing network performance and security. This role requires expertise in packet capture and analysis, traffic baselining, and troubleshooting network anomalies across complex enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform deep packet capture (PCAP) analysis using Wireshark, tcpdump, Extra Hop, or similar tools.
Establish and maintain baselines for network traffic and performance.
Detect, analyze, and remediate anomalies or suspicious activity.
Configure and support routing, switching, and TCP/IP protocols.
Collaborate with security and infrastructure teams to ensure network reliability and security compliance.
Qualifications:
Strong hands-on experience with packet capture and network performance monitoring.
Knowledge of routing, switching, and core TCP/IP protocols.
Relevant certifications such as CCNP/CCIE, JNCIP/JNCIE, WCNA, GIAC GCIA, CEH, or equivalent.
Preferred Background:
Prior experience as a Network Security Engineer, Network Analyst, Packet Analysis Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer, or Network Performance Engineer.
